Honest reviews for
Dubai renters.
Moving is one of the biggest decisions most of us make, and it happens largely in the dark. Lived changes that — with verified, anonymous reviews from tenants who actually lived there.
Property listings in Dubai are extraordinary works of fiction. The photos glow. The descriptions sing. Then you sign, move in, and discover the lift has been broken for a month and the chiller fee is charged by cubic metre.
Every one of us has a story like this. We had ours, our friends had theirs, and the pattern was too consistent to ignore: somewhere between what a broker says and what a resident knows, a lot of money and a lot of peace of mind disappears.
So we built Lived. A place where renters can share the truth of living somewhere — maintenance response, noise after 11pm, hidden fees, and how management actually handles things — so the next person can choose with their eyes open.
Every review is tied to a real lease. No bots, no brokers writing from new accounts.
Lived is built by the community, for the community. Every review makes the next decision easier.
Landlords can respond to reviews. We never accept payment to hide one — not ever.
We’re tenants, engineers, and writers who have moved too many times in this city. Lived is what we wish we’d had.
Our team is deliberately small. We read every review, verify every tenancy, and reply to every message — even the tricky ones. We don’t take money from landlords, brokers, or developers, and we never will.
If you’d like to contribute — as a renter, writer, or photographer — the door is open. Tell us where you’ve lived and what you learned.
